Come on, let them debate. The first amendment gives us the right to free speech, and they have the right to let their views be known to the public, instead of having the media censor or ignore them as potential candidates. Four candidates other than Obama and McCain have ballot access in enough states to possibly win enough electoral votes to potentially win the election.

Regardless of whether they win or not, and they probably won't, at least let them debate. Is it really going to kill us to do this? Besides, I would find it interesting to see them debate with the two major candidates. I would definitely tune in. Besides, practically no one I've talked to likes their options for candidates this year. A lot of people are dissatisfied. It's time to shake things up a little and change that.

Watch the video, sign the petition, and pass the word on!

I don't have a problem with the candidates speaking their mind, but the media is very much Obama-oriented in the first place. The media doesn't even have the room for McCain.

Part of the other reasons the other candidates don't get a spotlight is because they don't have the funding needed, unlike the Repubs and Dems.

One of my issues with supporting an "other" candidate is that all they will do is take away votes. If people want to know what a candidate is truly about, that is what their website and party is for. Any informed person will go there to search for all options.

As much as I am dissatisfied with the current candidates, I would rather not waste my vote on a candidate that won't even get 10% of votes. I hate Obama more than anything in the world and if I vote for someone other than McCain, Obama will win, because people like Nader and Baldwin will pull away votes where it matters (esp. in a race like this).

I've searched Nader and Baldwin's site and how can I take them seriously? Their views are out of touch with what is needed for America--not to mention, what beneficial experience do they have?

I honestly believe if there is a candidate out there that is promising, they will get the funding and the people will vote for them. They just haven't appeared on the scene yet.

I don't think the other candidates will win either, to be honest. But I still think they should have the chance to debate, regardless. I'm tired of the media being so blatantly biased for one candidate and one candidate only. They need to cover all the candidates, not just one or even two.

And until they do, you're right. We'll never get a decent third party candidate. Because the media has everyone so convinced that voting third party is wasting a vote.

For the time being that may be true, seeing as we only have two bad options, but it hasn't always been, and we need to change things. If the third party candidates can debate the two major ones, maybe people will wake up a little and realize that they don't have to settle for the lesser of two evils, and that might encourage some decent third party candidates to start running.
